Kyles Coastal Community is a group of volunteers in West Cowal and Bute who are raising awareness about the impact of sewage pollution on the local environment.

The group organises film screenings, interviews, and protests including a successful “Dare to Dip” event in August 2025 to highlight the need for jobby-free seas and beaches.

Kyles Coastal Community are campaigning for SEPA-authorised direct sewage discharge into the sea to stop, and for the government to provide a support scheme to coastal communities towards managing private direct sewage discharge.
